
About
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tahir Gökdemir was born in Mardin in 1971. After graduating from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1997, he began his medical career and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Dicle University in 2008.
Following a faculty position and department chairmanship at Harran University, and founding the Emergency Medicine Clinic at Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital in Diyarbakır, he returned to his hometown Mardin in 2020 to establish the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mardin Artuklu University Faculty of Medicine.
He combines his scientific background in emergency medicine with certified practice in Traditional and Complementary Medicine, offering his patients an evidence-based, holistic approach to health. He is married and has two children.

Founded and led the Emergency Medicine Clinic at Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital in Diyarbakır until 2020.

Professor — Mardin Artuklu University
Founded the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mardin Artuklu University Faculty of Medicine; the first professor of emergency medicine to serve in Mardin.
